Faq's
The trek is moderate in difficulty. It involves daily hikes of 5-7 hours with some steep ascents and descents, but no technical climbing experience is required. A good level of fitness is recommended.
The best seasons are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) when the weather is clear, and the views are stunning. Winter is possible but very cold, and the monsoon season can make trails slippery.
Yes, you need two permits:
Langtang National Park Entry Permit (NPR 3,000 per person for foreigners)
TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) Card (NPR 2,000 per person for individual trekkers)
Yes, since the trek reaches over 4,900m (Tsergo Ri), altitude sickness is a possibility. Proper acclimatization, hydration, and a slow ascent are essential.
There are no ATMs beyond Syabrubesi, so carry enough cash. Some teahouses offer WiFi at an extra cost, but the connection is unreliable.
