Itinerary

Day 1
  • Arrival in Tashkent International airport, your driver will meet you and transfer to your hotel in Tashkent.
  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • Free time.
  • Lunch time.
  • After lunch, we will take a panoramic tour of the modern city: Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, Theater Square, Tashkent City Square, Museum of Applied Arts.
  • The tour ends with the beautiful metro in Tashkent, where every station is decorated in various themes.
  • 18:00 The transfer will take you to Tashkent local airport to go to Urgency.
  • Arrival in Urgency at 21:
  • Transfer to hotel in Khiva.
  • Dinner and overnight in Khiva.
Day 2
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast, the day will be devoted to visiting Khiva.
  • The old city "Ichan Castle" dating back to the 5th century BC is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
  • The tour starts from the gate of Ata Darvoza, where there is a statue of Al-Khorazmi (The Algorithm), the founder of the science of algebra; Madrasa of Muhammad Amin Khan (XIX century), Aymin Khan and Kalta Minar Tower, Kunya Arch of Qala, residence of local rulers with reception hall, Royal Mosque, Haram, Old prisons, etc., Jouma Mosque (x, p) of 213 carved wooden columns is the most important in Khiva.
  • It is a beautiful Juma mosque.
  • Lunch.
  • After lunch, visit the Tosh Khovi Palace, the second residence of Khiva rulers along with the Haram, and the mausoleum of Pahlavon Mahmud, a poet, philosopher and legendary wrestler, patron of the city, one of the most sacred and beautiful of Khiva.
  • The Royal Caravanserai has its own charming bazaar and from this view you can have free time to stroll and shop in the local market in Khiva.
  • Dinner.
  • After dinner, we will go to the Madrasah of Muhammad Aminkhan to watch a folklore show and dance to Khorezm music called "Lazgi".
  • After the folklore show, you will have the opportunity to experience the charming night walks of Khiva.
  • Overnight in Khiva.
Day 3
  • After breakfast drive to Turkmenistan border point Shavat-Dashoguz (60 km, 1 h.).
  • Go through border formalities on both checkpoints.
  • Cross
  • 5 km neutral zone (transportation may not be available).
  • Meet the tourists at the border in the morning at 09:00 (You should be at the Uzbekistan border at 08:30).
  • Your guide and driver will accompany you to one of the main natural attractions of Turkmenistan named by Gas Crater dubbed by foreign travelers as "The Door to Hell".
  • The Derweze area is rich in natural gas.
  • While drilling in 1971, Soviet geologists tapped into a cavern filled with natural gas.
  • The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a large hole with a diameter of 70 metres.
  • To avoid poisonous gas discharge, it was decided the best solution was to burn it off.
  • Geologists had hoped the fire would use all the fuel in a matter of days, but the gas is still burning today.
  • You will taste a delicious barbeque dinner prepared by our guide and driver.
  • Overnight at camp or in a yurt (tent, mat, pillow, sleeping bag are provided).
Day 4
  • Picnic style breakfast.
  • Drive to Ashgabat.
  • Check in to the hotel.
  • Free time for your leisure.
  • Then you can explore Ashgabat city tour.
  • In 2013 the Guinness Book of Records named Ashgabat “white marbled city” – here you can see the biggest number of structures in the world made out of the white marble.
  • You will see Wedding Palace, Ferries Wheel, Constitution Monument, Arch of Neutrality, Monument and park of Independence, Ertogrul Gazy Mosque, Ashgabat Sports and Housing facilities, the Earthquake and victims of WWII Monuments.
  • Drive to visit Carpet Museum, one of the best in Central Asia featuring designs from the Tekke, Yamud, Sarik and Chodor tribes.
  • The Turkmen carpet museum is one of the cultural centres of Turkmenistan, where about 2000 carpet exhibits, including rare ones, are exhibited.
  • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Transfer to the airport for flight to Mary.
  • Drive to Bayramali city 30 km from Mary to explore ancient Merv – “Queen of the world”, was one of the most important capitals of Islam along with Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus.
  • Sightseeing of ancient Merv includes Greater Kyz Gala & Lesser Kyz Gala (VI-VII), Complex of Askhabs (VIII-XIV), Erk Gala (VI BC), Gyaur Gala (IV BC), Hoja Yusup Hamadani complex, Sultan Sanjar mausoleum, Muhamed Ibn Zeid mausoleum.
  • Then drive to Farap – Alat border 240km, 4-hour drive.
  • Border formalities on both sides.
  • The driver in Uzbekistan meets you and transfer to the hotel.
  • Check-in the hotel and free time for rest.
  • Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 6
  • Breakfast.
  • Full day excursion in Bukhara.
  • The city tour includes: Ismail Samani Mausoleum, the oldest and most valuable in the country, a masterpiece of medieval architecture, built by Ismail Samani for his father Nasr I.
  • The Chashma Ayub Mausoleum.
  • We will see the Bolo-Hauz Mosque, the Emirs official place of worship, built in 1718 and located next to the door of the Ark, the center of the city, the official residence of the rulers of Bukhara.
  • After lunch visit Poi Kalon minaret and mosque, see Madrassahs Abdulaziz Khan and Ulugbek, Labi-khauz ensemble, the pool and chaikhana of which is the modern centre of traditional Uzbekistan.
  • Dinner.
  • Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 7
  • After breakfast free time to explore the old city Bukhara till afternoon.
  • After lunch transfer to Samarkand (290 km, 4 h.*).
  • Arrive in Samarkand and check in the hotel.

Day 8
  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • In the morning visit Gur-Emir Mausoleum – the graveyard of Tamerlane and Timurids, magnificent Registan Square with three Madrasses Ulugbek Madrassa, the Sher Dor Madrassa and Tilla Kari Madrassa.
  • After visiting the giant mosque of Bibi Khanum, we will visit the Siyab Basar.Pyramds of water-melons and melons, bags with walnuts, seedless raisins and dried apricots, bunches of grapes and alluring piles of figs attract the visitor with sweet tooth.
  • Red apples and sweet-scented pears lay on counters next to leathery fruits of a pomegranate.
  • Lunch time.
  • After lunch visit the observatory of Ulugbek, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, where you can visit the tomb of Qusam ibn Abbas, continue to Hazrat Hyzr Mosque.End of the sightseeing tour.

Day 9
  • After breakfast transfer to Penjikent border of Tadjikistan.
  • The guide will meet you at the border and transfer to Penjakent.
  • The city of Penjakent ("five villages") is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in a picturesque Zeravshan river valley.
  • Quite possibly the five villages started the history of this remarkable city which originated in the 5th-8th centuries AD.
  • Penjikent of that time was one of the most important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd.
  • It was even named "Central Asian Pompeii".
  • It was a superbly fortified well-organized city with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses decorated with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods.
  • The ruins of this ancient city were found only in the last century.
  • Today the tourists can see the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church.
  • Driver to Seven Lakes (80 km, ~2 h).
  • These lakes are located in the western part of the Fann Mountains.
  • Each lake has its own color, varying from calming turquoise to mesmerizing purple.
  • Have lunch at the guest house next to the 4th lake.

  • The road to the lakes goes over pass Shahriston (3 378 m).
  • They are one of Central Asia's most popular hiking areas.
  • You will do a day trip to the Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes), about 60 km south of Panjakent.
  • At this place you will have time to go for short hiking.
  • There road goes along a gorge where 7 lakes are located.
  • They are situated on different altitudes and have different colors.
  • Also you will meet local people that live at that area.
  • It will be very interesting to see their way of life.
  • Then we will drive to Khujand.

  • In the morning you will have city tour.
  • Khujand is the second largest city of Tajikistan.
  • It is situated on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of the Fergana Valley.
  • The population of the city is 149,
  • It is also the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan, now called Sughd.
  • Start Khudjand city tour with visiting Kamoli Khudjandi Square, Timur Malik’s fortress and Sugd museum, Muslihiddin memorial complex, Panjshanbe bazaar and Arbob palace.
  • Also you will visit a Cultural Palace of Khujand.
  • At this place the first president of Tajikistan was chosen.
  • Also we will go to see Central Mosque that is situated in the middle of the city.
  • After lunch transfer to Oibek border.
  • Crossing the border.
